Because I have a great passion for the outdoors exceeded only by my drive to create, I paint on location whenever possible. My subject matter varies but my preference is landscape and most of my work ranges in style between realism and impressionism.
     Today I paint primarily in pastel but my broad background gave me knowledge and experience in most media, both 2 and 3 dimensional, as well as commercial art. I was born with a gift of talent and then the good fortune to obtain good training throughout my life. It gave me a solid foundation on which to grow plus the self-assurance and flexibility to advance. My teaching experience working with all age groups gave me an opportunity to pass on knowledge while continuing to broaden my own understanding. I am forever thankful. Art is a life-long journey for me.
